Navionics adds further value to Garmin Round Denmark Race
Market leader in navigational digital charts Navionics signs deal with Garmin Round Denmark Race 2022 and 2023.
Navionics, with headquarters in Viareggi in Tuscany in Italy has entered a collaboration with Garmin Round Denmark Race also for 2022 and 2023. The company owned by Garmin is fully focused on giving the users of the digital charts the best possible experiences.
– Our charts are updated daily. For example; in connection with a construction like the Fehmarn project (the building of a tunnel between Denmark and Germany) all changes of importance for sailors will show up on our charts at the latest after a few days after we are informed about them, says Lars Fandrey from Navionics.
Good news for future Garmin Round Denmark Race participants
Future participants in Garmin Round Denmark Race can look forward to customized charts during the event.
– We are planning on making a version ready for the participants including all kinds of relevant information. Among them a draft of the two courses made customizable for the individual participant. Information on the venues Aarhus and Esbjerg of where to find locations like Race Office, bath facilities, craning etc. Or a chart overlay showing starting areas, start and finishing line on the water, says Lars Fandrey.
Wants to be among the sailors
Navionics wants to be visible to the sailors and that’s one of the reasons they now team up with the Garmin Round Denmark Race organization.
– We like to be present in the harbors where the sailors are. And then we like the idea where an online community is built around the event, says Lars Fandrey referring to the strong Garmin Round Denmark Race community.
Morten Brandt from Shorthand ECM is very pleased on behalf the three organizers:
– We are honestly happy to have Navionics on board. It means a lot to us that the partners of the event are here for a reason and that they add value to the event, he says.
